Deltagares ansvar
Alla som skall köra Tobacco Trail och/eller föra in hundar till Sverige från andra länder har själv ansvar för att sätta sig in i de regler som är aktuella.
Vacciner
Alla hundar som kommer från länder utanför Sverige och Norge måste vara rabiesvaccinerade.
Från den 1 januari 2012 blir det ändringar i införselreglerna när det gäller antikroppskontroll och avmaskning.
Kravet på antikroppskontroll slopas.
Djuret får tidigast vaccineras mot rabies då det är tre månader och får resa först när det gått 21 dagar efter att grundvaccinationen är klar. Beroende på vaccintillverkare kan grundvaccinationen ibland bestå av två vaccinationer med 3–4 veckors mellanrum. I så fall räknas 21 dagar efter andra vaccinationen. Du kan därmed tidigast resa med djuret då det är cirka fyra månader gammalt.
Nuvarande krav på avmaskning slopas helt.
Grundkraven för id-märkning, rabiesvaccination och pass eller intyg ändras alltså inte.
Hundpass
Hundpass för varje enskild hund är obligatorisk vid införsel till Sverige (för hundar från andra länder än Norge).
När det gäller andra vaccinationer krävs att hundarna är vaccinerade mot valpsjuka. Vaccinationen ska vara utförd efter 1 års ålder och får inte vara äldre än 4 år. Vaccinationen ska vara gjord minst 14 dagar före tävlingen.
Vidare rekommenderas att deltagande hundar dessutom är vaccinerade mot HCC (smittsam leverinflammation), parvovirus (hundpest) samt parainfluensa och eventuellt bordetella (kennelhosta).
Dopning/mediciner
Dopning av hundar och förare är förbjudet.

Ansökan om dispens kan göras till Jordbruksverket.

The Participant's Responsibility
All participants of the Tobacco Trail who will be transporting dogs into Sweden from other countries are responsible to read and follow the concerning laws and regulations.
Vaccinations
All dogs from outside Sweden and Norway must be vaccinated against rabies.
From the January the 1th of 2012 there will be changes concerning antibody control and deworming when bringing dogs into Sweden.
The requirement for antibody control will be abolished.
The animal can be vaccinated earliest when 3 month old and can travel 21 days after the basic vaccination is completed. Depending on vaccine manufacturer the basic vaccination may consist of two vaccination with 3-4 weeks between them. In that case the 21 days will be counted from the second vaccination. You can therefor travel at the earliest when the animal is about 4 month old.
The requirement for deworming will be completely abolished.
I.e, the basic demands for ID-marking, rabies vaccination and passport or certificate will not change.
Dog Passport
Dog Passports for every individual dog is required when bringing in dogs from others countries except Norway.
As for other vaccinations it is required that the dogs are vaccinated against distemper. The vaccination must have been done after the dog is 1 year old and can not be older than 4 years. The vaccination must be done at least 14 days before the race.
It is recommended that all participant dogs are also vaccinated against HCC (a contagious liver infection), parvovirus (dog plague) as well as parainfluensa and bordetella (kennel cough).
Doping/medicines
Doping of dogs and musher is forbidden.

Applications for exemptions may be made to the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
